City Region to make bid to “Future Jobs Fund”
The City Region is to make a single all encompassing submission to the “Future Jobs Fund”. The national fund of around £1 billion, to be spent over the next 2 years aimed at creating jobs primarily for 18-24 year olds, was announced in the Budget on 22nd April. City Region partners will build the submission from the bottom up using individual local authority and Local Strategic Partnership. Support for the bid will come from the City Strategy Pathfinder, the Public Sector Hub and dedicated LSC training packages.
