New Chair for City Region Forum
Paul Lankester, Chief Executive of Stratford-upon-Avon District Council has been elected as the new Chair of the City Region Forum.
The Forum exists to advise and inform the City Region Board on its proposed policies and interventions. Its key role is to act as a constructive critical friend, especially to ensure that the Board holds true to its stated commitment to accelerate the delivery of existing and forthcoming regional and sub-regional strategies.
It is increasingly important that the widest range of views possible informs City Region thinking. This is particularly the case as both the Government and Opposition parties continue to show a strong interest in the potential of sub-regional partnerships to influence economic development and regeneration.
